- Pair of old Mornington Island Ceremonial Spearpoints. The spear was universaly used in hunting, fishing and fghting. In some areas of Australia only one or two spear types are to be found; in others up to ten ormore types can be recognised. Spears carved with three or four series of barbs were formidable fighting weapons.
