Terms of Sale

All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. Artworks displayed as “POA” (Price on Application) are not available for online purchase — please enquire directly.

Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Payment must be made in full at the time of purchase. Your card details are not stored by Newstead Art.

Following a confirmed purchase, a member of the Newstead Art team will contact you within two business days to arrange delivery or collection. Delivery costs are calculated based on the size, weight and destination of the artwork, and will be discussed and agreed prior to dispatch.

All artworks are professionally packed and fully insured in transit. Risk in the artwork passes to the buyer upon delivery or collection.

Artworks are described to the best of our knowledge and all reasonable care is taken to ensure accuracy. We make every reasonable attempt to photograph artworks true to colour and current condition, though slight variations may exist.

If you have questions about an artwork's condition prior to purchase, please contact us and we will provide a condition report on request.

Change-of-mind returns are considered on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to discuss a return. Newstead Art is not liable for any damage incurred by third-party shipping companies once risk has passed to the buyer.

Newstead Art warrants the authenticity of every artwork sold. Provenance information is provided as documented in the gallery's records, compiled over more than four decades. Where full provenance cannot be verified, this is noted in the artwork description.

Under the Resale Royalty Right for Visual Artists Act 2009 (Cth), a 5% resale royalty is payable to eligible artists on the commercial resale of their works where the resale price is A$1,000 or more and the artwork was purchased by the current owner after 30 June 2010. This obligation applies to the seller (not the buyer) on any future resale.

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
