- This spear tip from Central Arnhem Land is a finely worked example of traditional Aboriginal craftsmanship. Shaped from wood, it features a tapered, pointed form intended to be hafted onto a spear shaft. Objects of this type were produced with great care and were at times secured in place with plant fibre bindings and natural resins. While some tips were made for practical use, others were produced specifically for ceremonial or symbolic purposes.
