Artwork story: This painting by Clifford Possum's eldest daughter, represents the Pleiades or Seven Sisters, the stars located in the constellation of Taurus. Wati Nguru, a powerful and malevolent trickster chased the Seven Sisters across the country before following them into the night sky. This Dreaming crosses the entire Australian continent from the APY Lands in the south to Mount Warning near Byron Bay. on the coast of the Pacific ocean. Many sacred sites are associated with this story which passes through Western Australia, the Northern Territory, outback Queensland and NSW and on to the east coast.
