- Artwork story
- This figure is the Emu called the 'Yankirri'. He travelled to the rockhole at Ngarlikurlangu to find water. This Jukurrpa (dreaming) story belongs to Jangala/Jampijinpa men and Nangala/Nampijinpa women.
Emus survive on a diet of native vegetation found in the area, including the ‘yakajirri’ (bush currant [Solanum centrale]) and ‘mukaki’ (plumbush [Santalum lanceolatum]).
