77 cm
- Artwork story
- Kali Pinantjarra - Hook Boomerang, literally 'boomerang with an ear'. A boomerang type made by Wailpri with a hook approximately 15 cm long; made from, a section of Mulga tree incorporating a lateral root as the hook.
The boomerang possibly developed over time as a modification of the throwing stick. Not all Aboriginal people made or used boomerangs. In some areas they were used in the past, but later abandoned; in other areas many different forms were made.
