- The totemic significance of fire to the Yunupinu family of the Gumtj clan is paramount. It is said tha tthe Gumatj caln languange, Dhuwalandja, is itself the tongue of flame. This langauage, or tongue, like the flame cuts through all artifice. It incinerates dishonestly leaving only the bones of truth.
