Artwork story: This painting depicts designs associated with the rock hole site of Wirrulnga, east of the Kiwirrkura Community. The roundels represent the rockholes and the grid-like shapes show the rocky hills and sandhills surrounding the site. A group of women, represented by the 'U' shapes camped at this site before continuing their travels towards the east. The women were travelling in a group which consisted only of women as they had been conducting secret women's ceremonies which men are not allowed to attend. The artist has shown the hair-string belts worn during these ceremonies.
