- Artwork story
- In characteristic style, Queenie depicts part of her traditional country, Dahloo Red Butt Country, showing waterfalls and the area down to Mistake Creek. This is also the Dreaming Place of the Bower Bird. This beautiful work illustrates her interest in recording and mapping her country.
Her works reflect a strong love and commitment to the landscape where she grew up. The artist's career was guided by the master artist Rover Thomas, a lifelong friend.
