- Anmatyerr artist Kathleen Ngale painted Arlperre country, which covers several hundred kilometers through which the Sandover River on the Utopia clan lands in the Northern Territory. Kathleen's art captures the changing colors of the wild bush plums as they ripen between Christmas and May, from yellow and orange to pink and purple. In her paintings, she also traces the journeys of the women in search of this much-prized fruit and follows the changing colors of the seasons, the sacred topography, and the process of travel through her country.
