This painting depicts one of the Tjukurrpa (Dreamtime) stories of the area. It depicts the people digging in the sand, shown as the six black U shapes. the people are digging a hole, looking for water. They dig deeper and deeper until they find, at first dirty then clean water. The white dots surrounding the hole being dug, indicate the small stones and crystals that were dug up at the same time. The people digging the hole came from the distinct skin groups, 2 Napanangka women, 2 Nungurrayi women and 2 Nakamarra women.
