Newstead Art’s third Sydney Indigenous Fine Art Auction will be held on May 5th, 2026 in association with Theodore Bruce Auctioneers & Valuers including the ‘Bangalay’ Collection and a regionally diverse selection of Australian indigenous sculptures, barks, and paintings on canvas created between the 1950s and the second decade of the 21st Century. This offering reaches across the full breadth of Australian First Nations art: from the Western Desert to northeast Arnhem Land, from the Kimberley to the Tiwi Islands, and from bark paintings acquired directly from their makers in the field in 1960, to works completed this decade. Live bidding via Theodore Bruce Auctioneers & Valuers and Invaluable.
