ARTWORK STORY
Central Desert woomera of leaf form with deep concave side, wood barb at throwing end attached with kangaroo sinew, Spinifex resin at bulbous throwing end to hold blade.
These are very versatile implements, in addition to launching a spear, they were used for holding food, or preparing pigments. The adze was used as a tool in the manufacture of other weapons and tools. They could also be used as an aid to making fire.
