Tommy Carroll began painting in 1999 at Warmun Community. His work often features natural ochres in earthy tones, with striking dark black elements that give his paintings a bold, minimalistic feel. The primary focus of his work revolves around Ngarrangkarni (Dreaming) stories, specifically those tied to the land around Doon Doon Station, where he grew up.
